Coastal Road & Worli Connector: Mumbai's West Side, Faster
The Mumbai Coastal Road and Worli–Bandra Sea Link connector are reshaping the western commute.

Mumbai's west side has a new spine. The Coastal Road, paired with the Bandra-Worli Sea Link and the upcoming Versova-Bandra extension, is reshaping how the city moves north–south.

What's open
The first stretch from Marine Drive to Worli is live, with the under-sea tunnels carrying traffic past Malabar Hill. Travel time from Nariman Point to Worli has dropped to roughly 10–12 minutes off-peak.
What's coming
- Worli–Bandra connector: bridges that tie the Coastal Road directly into the Sea Link.
- Versova extension: pushing the corridor north into the western suburbs.
- Promenades & cycling tracks: a public waterfront unlike anything Mumbai has had.
The bigger picture
